Who is sondai?
- sondai is...me!
- Washington, DC, United States
- sondai was born and raised in Camden, New Jersey and “grew up” in Washington DC. In the chocolate city sondai studied film and photography at Howard University. She is the founder of sondai expressions, her own graphic design and photography firm, where her mantra is “i keep pushing forward expressions”.She also teaches design and photography at CentroNia, a non profit community organization. Her skills as a visual artist have allowed her to be a consultant for over 6 years. sondai's photographs have appeared in Metro Connections, the Source, Urb Magazine and Smithsonian Institute National Portrait Gallery. She has also completed designs for the Harlem Theatre Company, Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Green and Williams Enterprises, Inc. and the stage musical The TRUTH. sondai was selected in 2005 by the Museum of the African Diaspora to be apart of their permanent exhibit with her portrait series Lady’s Day in the Park.

Look like a True Goddess
- Relax- This is your image that will be put out there. There is nothing worse than looking stiff in a photo.
- Prepare - Just like you prepare a speech, you can prepare for photographs. Look in the mirror for you best poses and most natural looks.
- Wear Make-up - There are plenty of make-up artist around. Remember it is just enhance and evene out your skin tone not create a new person all together.
- Be Happy! - If you are depressed and upset that can come across on the camera. The lens doesn't lie. Listen to music to lift your spirits!
- Tell the Photographer What You Want to Camoflage! - If you want to hide your hips let the photographer know. If not they will be all up in the shot and you will hate them and the photographer. (we don't like to be hated on)
- Always Stand Tall - Slouching is just not acceptable anyway! Back straight Chest out!
